On the 6th of January, Spanish, Mexican, Hispanic, French and Catholic families eat a “king cake”: el Roscón de Reyes in Spanish, la Galette des Rois in French, a ring-shaped bready cake. Somewhere inside it there is a hidden bean or charm. The lucky person who gets it, if he/she does not choke on it, can make a wish! This tradition is associated with the festival of Epiphany in the Christmas season in a number of countries.
